How about this transformation?  A friend of mine had this cabinet in her house.  It fit perfectly in her entryway. She has owned it for a number of years, and it was purchased from the Bombay Company, I believe. The problem? Her house is classic country! She has a farmhouse table, classic country curtains, wood stove, etc. She wanted it gone! I thought the cabinet had potential. It offers nice lines and cute hardware. She agreed to let me paint it.  I painted it in Annie Sloan Arles and heavily distressed it, which is so much fun to do, and waxed it with clear wax. I absolutely love the result. No more Asian inspired formal. Now it is warm, weathered and country!
