A?

Quite a transformation of a 1920s secretary for a teacher who many years ago taught my children in elementary school. It is a gift for her husband. It was his mom's and they want to use it for a computer but it was pretty worn and didn't match their style. The mahogany veneer has been stripped and stained natural. The rest got a facelift with General Finishes products. What do you think? I hope I earned an A!

Fall decorating!

Who is doing a little fall decorating? After spending time decorating at The Green Door, it inspired me to get going at home!
I absolutely love filling my wine barrel top with seasonal items plus a few vintage finds! Do you have collections? I love lanterns and pitchers, and it's fun incorporating them into my decor. I also purchased some herbs that I hope to keep alive and use all winter in meals! Plus, mint smells so nice. There are so many varieties of pumpkins to be creative! What are your plans?

Lane cedar chest

Quaint With Paint has been working on this Lane cedar chest. It's almost done. New hardware and latch to come. Are you looking for that antique farmhouse look that is so popular right now? This cedar chest would make a great coffee table or storage for the foot of the bed! It has been completely refinished and stained with a gray and walnut. If you have a Lane cedar chest, there are replacement locks available. Let me know if you are interested in this chest, let me know before I make a home for it!

Mahogany bow front buffet

Transformation Tuesday! This mahogany buffet's top was stripped and stained with dark walnut stain. The body was painted with Annie Sloan Primer Red! This buffet is a great example of why regular latex paint just doesn't work on furniture. Quaint With Paint is off delivering it to its owner!

Curio cabinet

Quaint With Paint finished this cute curio cabinet today for a customer. She won it at an auction. Someone had tried to refinish it. It was bumpy, drippy, and not very nice. Now it is smooth with a good amount of distressing painted in Annie Sloan Paris Grey with Old White shelves. It definitely possesses a French flair. Can't you see it in a bathroom with towels and perfume, or maybe a living room with family treasures?
